When buying milk, yogurt, cottage cheese, and other dairy products, be sure to choose reduced-fat or fat-free versions. Regular dairy products can contain unwanted saturated fat (the type that can lead to heart disease). Also limit sweetened dairy foods, like chocolate milk or yogurt with fruit, unless it’s sweetened with a low-calorie sweetener.
Those diagnosed with type 2 diabetes manage their disease through a combination of treatments, including diet control, exercise, self-monitoring of blood glucose, and in some cases, oral drugs or insulin.

The exact cause of diabetes is unknown. However, autoimmune disease, genetics, obesity, chronic pancreatitis, certain medications and abnormal protein deposits in the pancreas can play a major role in the development of the disease.
Trick (important): Take a swig of vinegar before every meal. This lowers your blood sugar by 30%. Most people use apple cider vinegar. If you can’t stomach it, a friend who monitors her blood sugar to control gestational diabetes tells me that 5 gherkin pickles also do the trick.

In the United Kingdom Prospective Diabetes Study (UKPDS), researchers followed nearly 4,000 people with type 2 diabetes for 10 years. The study monitored how tight control of blood glucose (HbA1c of 7% or less) and blood pressure (less than 144 over less than 82) could protect a person from the long-term complications of diabetes.
The bottom line is that diabetes can be bad news—but this doesn’t have to be the case. Interventions can prevent or delay disease in people with prediabetes. The Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP), a large study of people at high risk of diabetes, has established a prevention plan that’s both feasible and cost-effective. The DPP showed that weight loss and increased physical activity reduced the development of type 2 diabetes by 58% during a three-year period.

Since it is a dietary disorder, it figures that what you eat would play a huge role in this reversal. Yes, calories are important to the extent that if you burn up far less than what you consume, you will put on weight and worsen insulin resistance. But to imagine a slice of bread and an egg are the same just because they contain the same number of calories is one of those diabetes myths that has run out of favor with almost every medical expert. The slice of bread will certainly leave you far worse with your diabetes than the egg will because of how these two foods behave inside your body.
HbA1C (A1C or glycosylated hemoglobin test) If diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, your health care provider may regularly run a test called HbA1c (A1C or glycosylated hemoglobin test). An A1C test provides a picture of your average blood sugar control for the past two to three months. Blood sugar is measured by the amount of glycosylated hemoglobin (A1C) in your blood.

The health-care professional will initially monitor the patient’s progress on medication carefully. It is important to receive the right dose of the right medication, in order to regulate blood sugar levels in the recommended range with the fewest side effects.
Now, here is the cure. Just follow these three simple rules. If you are taking insulin or other medications, you must coordinate this with your doctor, as dosages will need to be adjusted (downward) so that you don’t die from an overdose.
The good news is that this symptom is reversible once blood sugar levels are returned to normal or near normal. But let your blood sugar go unchecked for long periods and the glucose will cause permanent damage, possibly even blindness. And that’s not reversible.
For example, if your I:C is 1:12 and you have an apple that contains 24g carbs, you would take two units of insulin. Taking those two units of insulin prior to having the apple helps to avoid a high or low blood-sugar fluctuation post-snack.
